The Junee Hotel, a cornerstone of Junee’s history, stands proudly as a beacon of timeless charm and community spirit. Built in 1878, this iconic building has witnessed the evolution of the town, serving as a hub for residents and visitors alike. Today, thanks to the dedication and vision of the Reynolds family, the Junee Hotel is embarking on an exciting new chapter.

A Family’s Vision

When the Reynolds family relocated to the Riverina, they were drawn to the charm and potential of the Junee Hotel. Once the heart of the railway community and the first commercial building in town, the hotel had begun to show its age. Recognizing its historical significance, the Reynolds family took on the challenge of restoring it to its former glory.

“We saw an opportunity to preserve a piece of history while creating a vibrant, welcoming space for the community and visitors,” says Emma Reynolds.

Breathing New Life into the Junee Hotel

The Reynolds family’s extensive renovations have revitalized this local treasure. From enhancing the accommodation to updating the bar and dining areas, every detail has been thoughtfully restored to honor the hotel’s rich history. The cobblestone laneway, the historic photographs adorning the walls, and the stunning views of the railway are all reminders of the hotel’s legacy.

The renovations didn’t stop at the building itself. The kitchen now boasts a menu that highlights the best of the Riverina region’s fresh, high-quality produce. Visitors can savor everything from juicy Riverina Black Angus steaks to traditional pub classics, all prepared with care and pride.

Junee: A Community Like No Other

For the Reynolds family, Junee isn’t just where they work—it’s where they’ve built a life. Moving from Dubbo to Wagga Wagga over a decade ago, they settled in Junee for its strong sense of community and proximity to larger towns.

“The people here are incredibly supportive,” says Emma. “We’ve been embraced by the community, and it’s been wonderful to form friendships and become part of Junee’s fabric.”

Junee itself offers a unique blend of history, natural beauty, and small-town charm. Visitors can explore the Junee Roundhouse Museum, indulge at the Junee Licorice & Chocolate Factory, or take in the breathtaking Canola Trail. For those seeking a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a touch of history, the Junee Hotel is the perfect destination.

Building for the Future

As the Reynolds family continues to build on the hotel’s legacy, their goal is clear: to ensure the Junee Hotel remains a place for connection, celebration, and community for generations to come.

“We’re proud to be a part of Junee’s history and excited to contribute to its future,” Emma says. “Our dream is for the Junee Hotel to stand strong for another 150 years, giving future generations a beautiful place to enjoy.”
