“A great roast dinner. The owner has just extended the dining area and revamped the main bar. We have eaten Sunday roast dinner here on number of occasions. We have always been satisfied with the quality of the food and the service. It is one of our go to choices when we have friends visiting.."
"Perfect place for an overnight stop on a long trip. After a 5 hour drive, it was such a relief to put my head down on my soft, comfortable bed. In fact, I slept so soundly I missed the dinner service so I can't comment on the food, though it looked delicious!
I really loved the historical provenance of the hotel itself - padding down the carpeted and high-ceilinged corridor, I could've been in another century!
The bathrooms are shared, but they were clean and tidy and there weren't many other guests so it never felt busy.
