Friday Night - Start Poker Run Weekend at the Junee Hotel
Before Saturday's mystery ride comes Friday night.
The Junee Poker Run Weekend officially kicks off at Junee Hotel on Friday 5 February, with live music from 6pm onwards. Visit NSW specifically identifies Junee Hotel as the starting point for the 2027 weekend celebrations.
Come in for dinner, meet riders arriving from around the region, catch the live music and settle in for the weekend.
You don't need a bike to join us. Everyone is welcome.

So the Friday night plan is fairly simple:
Check in.
Eat.
Have a drink.
Listen to some music.
Speculate wildly about Saturday's route.
Nobody at the bar will know either.

What's the Junee Poker Run?
The Junee Poker Run was established in 2005 and has grown into one of Junee's best-known annual events - and one of Australia's larger and longer-running charity motorcycle rides.
At its heart, it's a motorcycle ride with a very good reason behind it.
Hundreds of riders gather in Junee and head out stopping at nominated locations to collect playing cards.
Those cards eventually make up a poker hand, with prizes awarded according to the event rules and yes
- the route is a secret.
Traditionally, riders don't discover the exact course until the morning of the event.
In 2026, the convoy left the Junee Showgrounds in formation, completed its traditional lap through Junee and then headed out on a mystery 250km round trip. More than 400 riders travelled through North Wagga, Tarcutta, Tumut and Tumblong before returning to town. Two support vehicles travelled with the group to assist riders along the way.
The stops change. The roads change. The purpose doesn't.
The Junee Poker Run raises funds for Can Assist Junee, helping local people and families affected by cancer. The event has become a major contributor to the branch, with recent rides raising substantial amounts - including a record $42,000 following the 2025 event and $30,000 from the 2026 event. Can Assist
For a bit of perspective, the event had raised more than $110,000 for Can Assist across the four years leading into the 2026 ride.
Good roads. Good people. Good cause.
That's the important bit.
